Don't follow the herd...when the wolves are making the rules.
A new public health campaign in California has labelled vapers as “stupid sheep”.
The city of Pasadena recently unveiled the advertising campaign, which features a series of images showing humanoid sheep vaping and asking consumers to not follow the herd as the effects of vaping are still unknown. (See ECigIntelligence.)
Below is an image of the unveiling of the campaign. The advertisement will be available in English and Spanish in bus stations and throughout social media.
The campaign has a three-year $1.5m grant from the Racial and Ethic Approaches to Community Health (REACH) Program and the federal Centers for Disease Control and Preventions. (CDC). $1.5m of our tax dollars allocated to shut down small business and regulate a product that they have found, time and time again, inconclusive or null when studying it's effect on the environment and public health.
In my eyes, I see an image more akin to the one below. I see individuals with motives. Individuals who refuse to seek education on the subject matter. Individuals who call themselves leaders of the people, who are not of the people. I see a group of people working outside of their constitutional rights to impede on ours because, let's face it, who cares. I see greed. I see deception. I see wolves. It is important to stay vocal on the issues at hand. Challenge your government leaders and work to educate them on the benefits of the product. Don't allow them to take the easy road of simply villainizing our industry before they have the evidence of the harm they claim our product creates. This is our herd and we have to defend it from the wolves.
