Vape Hacks: Natural Cleaning Solutions for Your Drip Tips

Ensure a thorough cleaning of your drip tips without having to buy fancy, expensive over the counter cleaning solutions!

Vinegar

Vinegar is regarded as one of the best cleaning solutions that can be used in the everyday household. Simply pour roughly ½ cup of vinegar and use cotton swabs to wipe away the excess gunk that may have built up. If the gunk is a little thick, you may need to allow the drip tip to soak for a short time in the vinegar. Then you continue to wipe away the excess gunk. Afterwards be sure to run the drip tip under lukewarm water in order to get rid the vinegar smell.

Baking Soda

Baking soda is excellent for eliminating excess gunk inside a drip tip. Simply create a mixture of baking soda and water, about 2 tablespoons of baking soda for every ½ cup of water, then allow the drip tip to soak for two to three minutes. This will allow the baking soda enough time to penetrate any hardened gunk and allow it to be easily wiped away. If the gunk inside seems to be still hardened, simply soak the drip tip for an additional few minutes. Once finished, simply run the drip tip under lukewarm water to wash away any excess baking soda.

Soap and Water

Soap and water is one of the best methods to properly clean a drip tip. However, the type of soap should be carefully considered before beginning. For example, most soaps contain a mixture of lotion in order to be friendly once skin contact is made and to reduce dryness. Do not use soaps that are designed for hand or body washing. Instead focus on dish soaps that have extreme penetrating power and contain enough antibacterial to destroy germs. The color of the soap truly doesn’t matter, but be sure to thoroughly wash under warm water afterwards in order to rid any excess soap residue.

Salt and Water

A simple salt and water mixture provides a great penetrating cleaning solution if access to soap, vinegar or baking soda is not available. At most restaurants, gas stations and even convenience stores, salt packets are available and all that will be needed is roughly two or three of them. Simply mix a couple of salt packets with roughly ½ cup of water and let the drip tip soak for just a couple of minutes. Once finished, rinse the drip tip off with water and the excess gunk should wash away.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar contains natural healing properties as well as natural disinfectant properties and is a great natural solution for cleaning various tools and equipment. Simply soak the drip tip in ½ cup apple cider vinegar or use a cotton swab soaked in apple cider vinegar to wipe away the gunk in specific areas. After a few minutes the vinegar will have loosened the hardened gunk and will be easy to wash off under lukewarm water.
